storytime with game
I was at the Lloyd Center getting a custom “Big Kid Bootz” red hat at Lids when all of a sudden, Game and his entourage (about 10 people), walk into the store. There were only two other customers there, and I watched both them and the Lids employees get all excited that Game was there. They knew who he was and they all made sure to say hi and ask for pics.
Game was receptive and kind, but clearly he didn’t want to spend much time talking to fans. He took a couple pics and bought a few hats. I made eye contact with him, tipped my head with respect and kept it moving (I knew I was going to see him in a few hours at our concert).
Later that evening, I headed to the Moda Center to get ready for the concert. As the artists started to arrive, our radio crew made sure to get around to everyone and welcome them and make sure they had everything they needed. Backstage, I said what up to Game and he said “what’s up blood, nice fit” to me, lol. I had my red Big Kid Bootz hat on, to go with my white shell-toes and all red Dickie’s shorts and button up shirt. I was super flamed up that night, because Freeze and myself were going to bring Game out at the concert.
A few hours later Me and Freeze hit the stage up. Funny, we only had one mic, so we had to pass it back and forth, but we talked for a few minutes to a damn near sold out Moda Center and then we introduced Game and brought him out on stage for the concert. We had something like 12k people there. It was pretty fresh to be the dudes who got to talk about Game and then hype everyone up and bring him out on stage. He then performed most of the Documentary album and rocked the Moda Center! It was dope AF!
