album of the week

This album dropped the week before my daughter was born in June 2009. I remember hearing about it and knowing who Jacka was, but he wasn’t on my radar at the time like he should have been. Like I knew a bit about his history and how the Mob Figaz hooked up with C-Bo, but I hadn’t spent a ton of time with his first 3 albums.

Many consider his 4th album, Tear Gas, to be his magnum opus. I was talking to Mainetain about how I wanted to learn more about Jacka and spend some more time with his music, and he said I revisit and spend some time with Tear Gas.

So in preparation for this Friday’s Episode 13, I will be listening to Tear Gas a lot this week! Super excited to spend some time with it and share my thoughts with you!
